Put a number on your next move.
Compare two careers by level and grade. Estimate weekly take-home pay, promotion skill gaps and budget weeks to a savings target.
Choose two catalog routes and enter your actual costs. The starting Grade I pay, final-rank exception and marginal wage-tax formula use dated official data. Salary modifiers and live availability can differ; use a current gross-pay override when needed.
How the comparison works.
Grade-adjusted gross pay × planned shifts gives the wage estimate. For each planned shift, calculate the increase in wage tax from prior wages to prior wages plus that shift’s gross pay, then round that deduction to the nearest ₦50. Add the shift’s gross pay to prior wages before calculating the next shift. Sum these rounded deductions for the planned total. Subtract entered expenses from take-home wages for weekly surplus. Target budget weeks are the remaining balance gap divided by positive surplus, rounded up.
A target already covered returns 0 weeks. Zero or negative surplus returns “Not reached with this weekly plan”. Estimates assume unchanged pay, shifts and costs; they do not count another role’s income in the same scenario.
| Weekly earnings band | Marginal rate |
|---|---|
| First ₦1,000,000 | 0% |
| Above ₦1,000,000 to ₦10,000,000 | 20% |
| Above ₦10,000,000 to ₦50,000,000 | 30% |
| Above ₦50,000,000 | 35% |
